ActiveX creating updating problems

ActiveX creating updating problems

I am on Windows XP. When I go to the Windows Update site, I am not able to update, because my computer is not able to run the ActiveX required to do the updates. I am logged in as an administrator and can't find any system policy to turn off to allow the updates. Can you enlighten me? Thanks.

Be sure to compare your Internet Explorer settings from a computer that works (if you have access to one) under Tools/Internet Options/Security/Customer Level, and make sure none of the ActiveX control settings are disabled.
