Converting user IDs to SIDs

I am a supporting engineer and want to know how I can diagnose the SID for all users in my domain. Is it possible to understand all SIDs?

Several utilities exist that can convert user IDs to SIDs, such as the free Visual Basic program that can be downloaded from the document Retrieving a User's SID.

I am wondering what you mean by "understand all SIDs." You can, of course, find any user's SID and even convert SIDs to user names. You can also interpret the "well-known" SIDs -- SIDs for common accounts and groups such as Administrator and Administrators.
