FTP and MSN Messenger problems after enforcing Group Policy.msc

I am using Windows 2000 Professional. After enforcing the Group Policy.msc I have noticed that FTP through the browser and MSN Messenger are not working. What might be the possible reason?

Without looking at your files, I cannot say, but you can check the settings in the group policy administrative templates files. These files can be used to set prevent many things from running. Also check to see if any IPSec policies have been set. You can view the group policy by opening the group policy for the local machine snap-in in and mmc console.
