Q

I can't access any online antivirus sites

I cannot access any antivirus sites from IE or Mozilla but the Internet works fine for everything else. I ran Ad aware, Spybot and HijackThis and they all removed a significant amount of spy ware. Any thoughts?
Several Trojans attempt to block access to these, and other sites, by modifying the Windows hosts file. The hosts file can be used to direct network traffic to specific IP addresses when a computer name is used. You need to clean the virus/worm using an antivirus product and then modify the hosts file according to instructions offered by these companies or alternatively, you may be able to use tools provided by Microsoft and others to clean and remove these affects. The Microsoft tool to recognize a MYDOOM infected computer and clean MYDOOM (one of the malwares that may prevent you from reaching antivirus sites) is available at http://www.microsoft.com/security/antivirus/mydoom.asp.
