XP SP2 services to disable

I was wondering if I could trouble you for a list of other Windows (local) services that are UNnecessary for day to day use on an XP SP2 system. Any advice would be gladly received!

The list of unnecessary services for XP depends very much on what you are using XP for. I cannot give you a list easily, as it requires knowledge of what you are doing. However, Microsoft has prepared security guides for Windows XP that do tell you what services are used for what and make some recommendations on services you might disable under certain circumstances.
