PatchLink Update 6.4 automatically updates networks with patches while checking the patching status of all machines on the network. It automatically identifies unpatched software, then provides and installs the correct patches.
Lumension Security Inc.'s PatchLink Update 6.4 automatically assesses computer networks, making sure patches are up to date, providing missing patches and monitoring the network to keep it properly patched.
It gives IT administrators a centralized view of all network vulnerabilities, then continually scans all endpoints so the network remains patched. It deploys multiple patches quickly and automatically sends email alerts when patch deployments have failed. PatchLink Update 6.4 creates patch profiles that include all software, hardware and drivers, as well as existing and missing patches for each machine. It delivers more than 20 standard reports that document vulnerabilities, patch deployments, patch status, trends and inventory at individual and multiple machine levels, so IT managers can show network compliance progress.
PatchLink Update 6.4's new features include the following:
- Microsoft Active Directory integration.
- Nested groups that improve productivity through easy set up for groups.
- Delegation of remediation and reporting activities.
- Support for Microsoft's Vista operating system.
