'Ping' command can be used to check whether if there are any devices like printer or server active at a particular IP address. By default, this command checks for only four times and exits. We can make use of '-t' option to have continuous ping. The pinging goes on, till the user interrupts it with CTRL-C command.
The command for using the ping command is:
PING -t x.x.x.x
