Hard disk crash!

Kevin Beaver explains provides some instructions on what to do if one hard disk crashes on a multiple hard disk system

I have two hard disks on my system. I found that the HDD I connected as master and which had Windows XP as its operating system had crashed. So, I connected the HDD as slave and tried to access a folder, but I couldn't open the folder. Is this folder one of the users on that hard disk? Could you tell me a solution for this problem?
This has happened to me before -- kinda scary, but there is a solution. What you need to do is "take ownership" of that folder. Here is a good set of instructions on how to do this.
