Upgrading Group Policy for Windows XP

I have a network consisting of Windows 2000 and Windows XP Pro computers. Group Policy works on all OUs, but I cannot use Internet Explorer User options (like setting a proxy server). Before I started adding XP Pro to my network I could do that. Now the "Apply" button is grayed out for the IE settings. What can I do to set up a proxy server and apply it to OUs?

You might need to update your Windows 2000 Group Policies to support such features so that they can be applied uniformly across an OU. Microsoft have an article about this, along with some details on how to fix it and some of its implications. See this article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;%5BLN%5D;307900 for the details.
