Windows 8 SkyDrive (which is soon to be known as One Drive) is now integrated into File Explorer. This means that you can use the same Explorer window to access SkyDrive, your local disks and any networked storage locations.
Consumer versions of Windows 8.1 require users to sign in using a Microsoft account, which links the PC to SkyDrive. Windows 8.1 automatically backs up the PC's documents and settings to SkyDrive and even uses SkyDrive as a mechanism for keeping user's devices synchronized with one another. Even Office 2013 has been designed with Windows 8 SkyDrive integration.
